GALESBURG — Both Galesburg Hy-Vee locations will soon gain a handful of new gluten-free products after a local woman recently opened a gluten-free bakery in the Peoria area.
Nancy Brown of Oak Run held a soft opening for Good Life Baking Company at 1104 N. Main St., East Peoria on March 3, and also received her wholesale license to provide products to grocery stores and restaurants.
She said Good Life is the third gluten-free bakery in Illinois to have received a wholesale license, and she expects some products to be available in Galesburg sometime next month.
