Knish lovers were kvelling Thursday over news that a five-month shortage of the deep-fried treats has finally ended.
Gabila's Knishes, the Long Island factory that is the lone producer of square-shaped knishes, finally got the go ahead to resume making it signature snack — five months after a fire ripped through its facility in September.
"We are very excited, we are back! We just got approval now from the fire marshal," said Stacey Ziskin Gabay, executive vice president of Gabila's Knishes.
