What do Gerbera jamesonii, Begonia cultivars, Lavandula stoechas, Impatiens hawkerii and Osteospermum ecklonis have in common?
They are all recent Fleuroselect winners and were therefore presented on the Fleuroselect stand at the IPM in Essen. The stunning 2015 Gold Medal winners – true breakthroughs in breeding – were introduced for the first time to the trade. These varieties are tested on 18 trial fields throughout Europe and score highly on innovation, beauty and garden performance. A true eyecatcher on the booth was the FleuroStar winner Gerbera with its magnificent colour mix. The FleuroStar award is given annually to the variety with the highest wow-factor at point of sale. Fleuroselect was also proud to introduce its brand new 2015 – Year of the Sunflower concept: an international marketing campaign aiming at increasing sunflower volume sales in 2015.
