MARIN COUNTY, Calif. — For more than 70 years the Straus Organic Dairy Farm has been producing milk but these days the owner wishes he could produce rain.
"This is the worst year I have ever seen," said Albert Straus, whose father started the dairy farm in 1940.
You don't have to look far around this western Marin farm to see the problem. The pastures the cows feed on are brown and barren with nothing to eat.
