Salinas, CA – The new year is ushering in a brand new day at Colorful Harvest, with personnel changes at several levels. Doug Ranno, long time COO, will be moving on to pursue other interests in 2014, following an ownership change that was announced in late 2013. Steffanie Smith will carry on the leadership role as the company’s new CEO. “Doug’s talent and energy will be missed, and we wish him well. We look forward to building on the foundation that has been laid, and taking the company to new heights in 2014,” said Smith.
In the southeast region, Lee Cobb, has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Business Development – Blueberries. Cobb, a former blueberry grower and marketer, has been instrumental in helping grow the size and scope of Colorful Harvest’s blueberry program in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas, and is looking forward to further expansion around the country.
Another addition to the company’s capabilities in the southeast is the addition of Rick Michels as Business Development Manager based in Plant City, Florida. Rick brings a solid background in produce sales and will add depth to Colorful Harvest’s regional marketing efforts.
