Richmond, IN – The water of the world brings us life and mesmerizes us in shades of blue. Flower Trends Forecast 2014 unveils Aqua Culture, a reflection of all thing water as one of the four emerging flower themes for events and weddings for 2014.
Aqua Culture is a reflection of all thing water. Blue delphinium, monkshood, blue agapanthus, thistle eryngium, dark blue hydrangea and nigella combine with succulents and textured leaves to provide the illusion of the movement of water. The power of water combined with the beauty of its movement is created with flowers that range in colors from bright turquoise to rich indigo blues. Containers used to achieve the Aqua Culture look include bubble shapes, textured ceramics and smooth curved glass combined with shells, rocks and crushed glass accents.
Flowers express the beauty and passion of the romantic bride in the Revival themed wedding. Revival blends vintage with modern and features roses, peonies, tulips, calla lilies and carnations in blush pink, soft peach, mint and butter yellow. It has a lush, opulent feel with clean silhouettes and romantic colors. Revival encompasses the nostalgic pastel hues using classic garden style flowers with accents of black and gold to add a modern chic contrast.
When the excitement and expressiveness of the bride needs to shout fun; the Confetti wedding expresses her feelings best. Gerbera daisies, poppies, dahlias, carnations, fuji mums and gloriosa lilies in bright colors create the expressive explosive of Confetti. The color palette is tangerine, sunshine yellow, hot pink, turquoise and dandelion yellow. Chevron stripes, bright neon containers and brightly colored candles combine to express a playful and bright burst of Confetti.
For the sophisticated, yet organic, the luxe combination of rustic and glam is expressed in the popular Grand Lodge theme. Burlap ribbon, burlap covered vases and birch covered vases are combined with other natural elements then contrasted with the luster and sheen of metals, glass and crystal to create the concept of haute tension. Grand Lodge provides earthen simplicity using simple flowers combined with poppy pods and striking specimen flowers like pink mink protea and chocolate cymbidium orchids. Grand Lodge is very classy and modern yet has a very natural feel.
