Jewel-Osco is planning to convert the four Dominick’s grocery stores it acquired from Safeway to its own banner in mid-January, closing them for less than a week during the transition, executives said.
But Jewel and its parent company, New Albertson’s Inc., are no longer in the market for any other Dominick’s locations, at least not before the chain is shuttered Dec. 28.
“At this time, Jewel-Osco has no plans to pursue any additional operating locations,” said Jewel spokeswoman Allison Sperling.
