BARTOW – The 2013-14 budget at the Florida Department of Citrus continues to fall as do the oranges, grapefruit and tangerines in the state's commercial citrus groves.
The Florida Citrus Commission on Wednesday cut nearly $1.1 million from its current budget, now at $44.7 million, in response to a continually shrinking citrus crop.
The cut gives commission, the Citrus Department's governing body, little wiggle room if the 2013-14 crop continues to decline.
