Kent dairy delivery company Smith Brothers Farms in partnership with Dairy Farmers of Washington plans to donate thousands of gallons milk to Food Lifeline, a Western Washington non-profit food distribution agency.
For every quart of Smith Brothers Farms Holiday Egg Nog sold between Dec. 2-13, Smith Brothers Farms will donate a quart of milk to Food Lifeline.
“Fresh milk and dairy products are much needed and highly valued at food banks and meal programs throughout Western Washington,” said Linda Nageotte, President & CEO of Food Lifeline in a Smith Brothers media release. “On an average day, Food Lifeline captures over 5,000 pounds of assorted dairy products through our Grocery Rescue program and purchases another 3,300 gallons of fresh milk each month on behalf of our agencies. This promotion will allow more kids, seniors and families to get the fresh milk they need, thanks to the support of Smith Brothers Farms and the Dairy Farmers of Washington.”
