The feasibility of planting flowers in January depends on the degree of collaboration and support by the Ethiopian authorities, says a company spokesperson.
Esmeralda farms headquarters are based in Miami, Florida, United States of America. It has a 265 Ha flower producing area in Ecuador and is active throughout Latin America, in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Mexico. The move to Africa is because of the increasing production costs in Ecuador and the company therefore intends to reduce is production activity in South America.
