For Broward County, the wait is finally over. Yes, you will get your very own Trader Joe's, in Pembroke Pines no less, come 2014.
It seems like the hip California-based grocer has been spreading like wildfire across the South Florida landscape this year.
A store, routinely mobbed, just opened in tony Pinecrest in Miami-Dade County. Four more stores are promised for Palm Beach County. But nothing loomed on the Broward horizon until Tuesday. That's when store officials will announce a 12,500-square-foot Trader Joe's in the works at the intersection of Pines Boulevard and Flamingo Road in the Pembroke Crossing shopping center.
