Delaware Welcomes Its First Organic-Only Dairy

The First State welcomed its first organic-only dairy company at a grand opening in Newark Friday.

Delaware lured Natural Dairy Products Corp. away from its former home just over the state line in Avondale, Pa., with about $275,000 in state incentives. The dairy will bring 19 new jobs to the state and hopes to add more positions as its product lines expand, company officials have said.

At its new 30,000-square-foot facility in the Sandy Brae Industrial Park off Markus Court, the company will make a variety of dairy foods under its Natural by Nature brand, including milk, butter, yogurt, buttermilk and cream.
