NFL Quarterback Joe Theismann To Support Tasti Lee Tomatoes At Fresh Summit

This year Tasti Lee® will be “Tailgating” at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in New Orleans, Oct. 18-20. Stop by and meet 12-year NFL veteran, Joe Theismann Saturday from 1-3pm at Booth # 1129. Joe Theismann played in 163 consecutive games from 1974-1985 and holds Redskins’ records for passing yardage (25,206). A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Theismann led Washington to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII.

Theismann was selected the NFL’s Man of the Year in 1982 for his community service and dedication to the health and welfare of children. He won the league’s 1983 Most Valuable Player Award for leading the Redskins to an NFL-recorded 541 points and a second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

See why Tasti-Lee is simply a better Vine-Ripe large round tomato. The breeding effort put into this variety was extensive by the University of Florida and Bejo participated along the way with many field trials.  Tasti-Lee also has great “legs” as it will stay firm and fresh for extended periods even after reaching full color. “Shoppers tell us it reminds them of fresh, fully ripe backyard garden tomatoes,” says Jeff Trickett, Bejo Seeds National Sales and Marketing Director.

Tasti Lee® offers a genuine tomato flavor that is now available in retail stores nationally. Stop by and find out how Bejo Seeds has been promoting healthy eating habits for adults and children through Tasti Lee®!
