A new bakery already known for its cinnamon rolls opened last week in New Milford.
Jessica’s Best, which is part of Event Baking Co. LLC, has a storefront now at 6935 11th St. in the New Milford Commons shopping center. The business is owned by Jim Jupin and Eric Opon.
The guys started last year selling their scrumptious cinnamon rolls from a concession trailer at festivals and fairs. They researched a more permanent home when customers started asking where they could buy the rolls outside of the special events.
The bulk of the bakery business for now will have a wholesale focus, bringing the brand to local convenience stores and other businesses, Jupin said. But the small retail counter at the New Milford store is already seeing a lot of traffic after less than a week of being open.
