Tops Unveils Fresh Look For Irondequoit Store

Tops Friendly Markets, the regional grocer in the midst of a $13 million growth spurt in Monroe County, showed off its new, smaller store model in Irondequoit.

The hallmark of the new Tops stores — construction is underway in Brighton and Henrietta as well as Irondequoit — is a more compact interior design, greater attention to fresh foods like meats, produce and a bakery, along with a gas station on the premises.

“We know that the Monroe County market is very important to us and we’ve made a commitment to respond to our customers with more efficient stores with a more modern look and feel,” Tops President and CEO Frank Curci said. Tops is based in the Buffalo area and has 14 full-service stores and five gas stations in Monroe County.
