MONTREAL – Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) kicked off their new All You Need Is Cheese Experience tour at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) last week. Until September 2nd, cheese lovers can step up to DFC's Canadian cheese counter, the largest booth at the CNE, in the Home Pavilion (Hall A) and discover Canadian cheeses made from 100% Canadian milk.
The All You Need Is Cheese Experience is divided into three distinct zones: the Kitchen, where Canadian cheese shines in cooking demonstrations and cheese seminars; the Cheese Shop, designed to inspire consumers to discover and explore the 2013 Canadian Cheese Grand Prix winners; and the Cheese Heroes, where consumers learn more about cheese makers and their expertise, as well as Canadian cheese history.
"Dairy Farmers of Canada is thrilled to host the largest booth once again at the CNE," says Sandra Da Silva, program manager, public relations, Dairy Farmers of Canada. "The All You Need Is Cheese Experience provides a unique, interactive experience with Canadian cheese, where consumers can learn more about it and have fun discovering recipes and uses for cheese made from 100% Canadian milk."
Since the start of the CNE on August 16th, over 5,000 consumers have attended the seminars and cooking demonstrations. Renowned cheese expert, Anne-Marie Shubin, conducts five seminars a day for 90 people per seminar and Chef Christian Pritchard conducts three cooking demonstration a day for 90 people per session.
The All You Need Is Cheese Experience will be making stops at two other Toronto fairs and exhibitions this fall − The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair from November 1st to 10th and The Gourmet Food & Wine Expo from November 14th to 17th.
