For many years Anthura makes a habit to sponsor the floating flower parade by providing many flowers and plants. These flowers and plants were used in the winning boat in the category 'commercial boats', arranged by Ruud Hazelaar.
Last weekend the floating flower parade (Varend Corso) took place for its 16th edition. Over 450.000 people enjoyed this parade of decorated boats. In three days the boats sailed 80 kilometer and visited three regions. Friday they visited Rijnmond, on Saturday the Westland followed by Delftland on Sunday. The weather was sunny and among public and participants there was a good atmosphere.
The flower parade consisted of 60 boats with in total 450.000 flowers, 120.000 pot plants and 80.000 pieces of fruits and vegetables. Theme of this year was ‘Dare to dream’.
