It’s out with one grocer and in with another for Jacksonville Jaguar sponsorship.
The Jaguars franchise announced Saturday that Publix will now be the “official” supermarket of the team. The Florida-based grocery store chain will be among the top sponsors of the NFL franchise. Publix had long been a sponsor of the team but will now be part of both a five-year partnership and the Jaguars “jamboree,” which is a cadre of the most elite corporate sponsors for the team.
“We are thrilled to have Publix join the Jaguars family,” said Scott Massey, the Jaguars senior vice president of corporate partnerships. “Publix is a great brand, a highly respected part of our community.”
The announcement of Publix becoming a key sponsor comes less than a month after another high-profile sponsor announced it was ending its partnership with the Jaguars.
