LYNNFIELD, MA – The Hood® Blimp is officially back for the 2013 season. Famous for representing the leading dairy brand in New England, the Hood Blimp will be in the New England region through the summer, including flying over each Red Sox home game at Fenway Park. To celebrate its return, Hood is launching the "Top of Your Game" contest on its Facebook page. Beginning this week, consumers will have the opportunity to guess the famous New England landmark in an aerial photo shot from the Blimp for a chance at a weekly prize and also be entered for the grand prize, which will be awarded at the end of August.
"It's an honor to be able to capture and share with New Englanders a unique view of the region from the Hood Blimp," said Sarah Barow, spokesperson for Hood. "The Blimp is an iconic part of summer in New England and we're thrilled to bring it back for 2013."
Beginning on July 22 and continuing for the next four weeks, each week a different aerial photo taken from the Blimp will be posted to the "Top of Your Game" contest tab on Hood's Facebook page. Fans will have the chance to guess what landmark is in the photo. At the end of each week, one person who has guessed correctly will be chosen at random to receive a $100 gift card. In mid-August, one grand prize winner will be randomly selected to win a prize package to enjoy Boston from above via a hotel and restaurant with views of the city, plus a year's worth of Hood Ice Cream.
In addition to the Red Sox games at Fenway Park, New Englanders will be able to spot the Hood Blimp flying over a variety of events in the region in July and August (weather permitting), including:
•Taylor Swift concert, Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA – Friday, July 26
•Pawtucket Red Sox game, Pawtucket, RI – Saturday, July 27
•Fisherman's Feast Festival, North End, Boston – Saturday, August 17
