XXI Latin America Melon & Watermelon Congress Sept. 4-6

The XXI Latin American Melon Congress is to be held in San Pedro Sula, Honduras September 4 thru 6, 2013.

Importers and growers alike have confirmed their attendance. The Federation of Agro Exporters of Honduras (FPX of Honduras) is our host this year as it was 21 years ago (and for 6 times in between ) when this tradition began in Choluteca, Honduras.

Please come on down to join your friends, your colleagues, and more importantly, your competitors in the industry when we will share our common problems and exploit our common advantages?

The common goal this year in the Congress is to create a joined task-force to let the retailer segments in North America and European markets know that their 30+% markup to our melon sales from our importers/receivers is not healthy for any one (from growers to end users) if we want to promote consumption and fair prices to every link in the supply chain.

Come join us and bring your staff, buyers, sellers, logistic managers and friends, so all of us get to know each other to enjoy our typical Honduran hospitality, and to better understand the industry in which we are struggling together for growth (and at times for mere surviving).

You cant' miss it!- We are aiming to bring in 500+ attendees from 18 countries as we did it in La Ceiba, Honduras in 2006. There will be simultaneous English-Spanish translations at the conferences for all international non-Spanish speakers participants.
