INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Sage Fruit has partnered with The Produce Mom for a social marketing campaign to celebrate Northwest cherry season. The brands will focus on engaging consumers through Pinterest, a content sharing service that allows members to "pin" images, videos and other objects to their digital pinboard. A “Pin to Win” contest utilizing hashtag #IHeartCherries will launch during the evening on Monday, July 1st and run through Wednesday, July 10th. Recipes and general consumer education about cherries will be shared on The Produce Mom’s blog & website through the duration of the #IHeartCherries promotion. Sage Fruit & The Produce Mom will utilize their social media pages to encourage fans and followers of each brand to source recipes from Sage Fruit, The Produce Mom & The Northwest Cherry Commision. The campaign will reward consumer participants with prizes including the following: grocery gift cards, Sage Fruit merchandise, kitchen tools & more.
Lori Taylor, consumer marketing manager at Indianapolis Fruit & author of The Produce Mom, is a veteran with the produce industry’s digital marketing campaigns and collaborations; however, this collaboration is a milestone for the social marketer. Taylor explains, “#IHeartCherries is my first marking collaboration & campaign to focus on Pinterest. Pinterest continually drives more traffic to TheProduceMom.com than any other source or website. It is so important to be engaged with this network as it has the ability to bring an infinite amount of traffic back to your preferred websites. I’m anxious to show my following how many amazing recipes are available from Sage Fruit & the Northwest Cherry Commission.”
Sage Fruit is a seasoned supporter of The Produce Mom. #IHeartCherries is the fifth time Yakima-based Sage Fruit has partnered with Indianapolis-based The Produce Mom for a digital marketing campaign. Kaci Komstadius, Social Media Director for Sage Fruit elaborates, “The Produce Mom has a very extensive & loyal audience. She is a source of knowledge & education on all things fresh produce.
