Official Brand Launch, Buyer-Supplier Matchmaking Sessions Kick Off Summer Fancy Food Show

The 2013 Summer Fancy Food Show kicked off last night with a festive President's Reception to officially launch the new "Specialty Food, Craft. Care. Joy." brand. The brand was developed by the Specialty Food Association, the show's owner and operator, to showcase the people and passion behind the industry's products.

"Craft. Care. Joy. truly sums up why you are so special at what you do," said Ann Daw, Specialty Food Association president to the crowd of Association members. "We are so inspired by your individual stories."

To introduce the official launch, a group of professional singers surprised the crowd with a choreographed musical performance, with lyrics specifically written about specialty foods (pictured).

"This is our biggest show in 60 years," Daw noted. "It features center stage new, innovative products that come directly from the amazing imagination and creative minds of our members. The specialty food book of stories never stops evolving."
