In conjunction with September’s National Food Safety Education Month, AMI today posted a new meat and poultry IQ quiz onhttp://www.meatsafety.org/.
“National Food Safety Education Month is an excellent time to remind consumers of the important role they play in ensuring that food is safe when served,” said AMI Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Janet Riley. “Recent AMI-sponsored research shows a significant knowledge gap among consumers when it comes to handling, cooking and storing meat and poultry products.”
Consumers can visit http://www.meatsafety.org/ to test their meat and poultry safety IQ by taking the quiz and answering 15 questions on topics such as safe handling of meat and poultry products, proper cooking temperatures and storage procedures.
