Pompano Beach, Florida – Southern Specialties announced Katie Johnston has joined the company as Key Account Manager. Ms. Johnston most recently worked with Chiquita Brands as Regional Customer Manager. Her responsibilities included managing sales of Fresh Express salads in the Southeastern United States.

Ms. Johnston, who is not related to the V.P. of Sales, will work out of the company’s Pompano Beach, Florida headquarters.
Southern Specialties markets its Southern Selects line of value added specialty vegetables in a variety of formats. The company is also a leading grower and distributor of asparagus, French beans, sugar snap peas, berries and other produce.
