Glen Allen, VA – Legacy Foodservice Alliance, LLC has announced major responsibility changes for two of its top executives.
Donald Hughes has assumed the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer for the company, and will be responsible for Supply Chain and the Operations of the company. Deb Winter has assumed the newly createdposition of Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and will lead the team that is focused on the Distributor Member side of the business. Winter and Hughes are both long time industry veterans, and have held other senior management positions with Legacy since its inception. Founder Stephen Push will continue as CEO and the strategic leader of the company.
Legacy is the Distributor/Supplier group that was established in late 2009 to break down barriers of the past and focus on long-term success for all supply-chain partners. “We promise transparency and simplicity – in processes and agreements – and an easily understood business model,” says Push.
Clearly, the model has worked. Legacy has ridden a steep growth curve the last 3 12 years, starting from scratch, and now boasting more than 120 Distributor Members, and 400+ Supplier Members.
“These moves should show the industry we have no intentions of slowing down. In fact, we want to move faster. One of the most basic ingredients in Legacy’s success has been our ability to attract the best talent in our business. While we have enjoyed great success so far, we want folks to know that we’re gearing up for the future, and whatever that brings,” says Push. “We want Legacy associates and the next generation of Legacy Distributor and Supplier Members to know that we’re way past being just a going and growing concern. We’re focusing now on being the Members’ Group of Choice – forever.”
“Don and Deb are strong leaders, with long proven records for achieving great results. Above all, they enjoy stellar reputations in the industry,” continuedPush. “I’m thrilled they joined Legacy early on, and I am very proud of their accomplishments. But I’m most excited to see where we can take Legacy in the future.”
