The Wisconsin Specialty Meat Initiative continues the legacy of our state’s sausage and cured meat makers by promoting the quality, taste and tradition of Wisconsin’s specialty meats.
As part of that initiative, the Specialty Meats Map was created listing over 200 specialty meat establishments located across the state. Users can sort the meat establishments by county, city, product description, product type or business name. Map out a Specialty Meat adventure at: http://datcpgis.wi.gov/SpecialtyMeats/
Wisconsin also has a unique program called the Master Meat Crafter Training Program designed to provide participants with in-depth and comprehensive knowledge about meat science and processing principles, offer development opportunities for future meat industry leaders, and help ensure the nation’s meat industry remains strong and viable for years to come.
