Earth Harvest Mills Flour Mill Declared Insolvent

Insolvency proceedings were started Tuesday against Earth Harvest Mills, an organic grain warehouse in Harvey, following a special meeting of the Public Service Commission, which licenses grain facilities.

The proceeding was approved after the commission received an unpaid grain claim of nearly $26,000 last Friday from an Earth Harvest Mills customer.

The company, doing business as Dakota Prairie Organic Flour Co., was issued an order Feb. 27 that barred it from receiving or purchasing grain in North Dakota.

The PSC has been monitoring the company as it tried to secure financing to pay debts to farmers for grain and to restart operations. Grayson Hoberg is the company's chief executive officer.
