A local bakery got a shout out in a national Zagat story highlighting the top foods of each of the 50 states.
Zagat released a blog on Wednesday called The 50 Plates of America: A Culinary Journey Across the U.S, which featured one must-try dish or snack from each state.
The blog chose buckeyes as the designated treat of Ohio, and suggests the best place to try to delicacy is here in Dayton, at The Cakery.
The blog notes, “While these are widely a homemade treat, you can indulge in this sugary snack at The Cakery in Dayton.”
