LEAMINGTON, ON – The Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) is launching a spring promotion that features Ontario greenhouse tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers in stores.
This year, OGVG has developed an Ontario “spring launch” promotion to highlight product availability, freshness and quality. This is possible with the partnership of retail members on the Greenhouse Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee. Promotions will be seen throughout Ontario running now through mid-May.
“We have received unprecedented support of this promotional program from the Ontario retailers,” said OGVG General Manager, George Gilvesy. “Consumers can find fresh, greenhouse produce from their local farmers now in stores across the province.”
OGVG’s campaign includes: in-store sampling, point-of-sale educational material, flyer promotions, radio spots, social media advertising and a partnership with Foodland Ontario on the Retail Display Contest. The Naturally
Fresh Inside emblem (left) is featured on in-store materials provided by OGVG. Consumers can find updates and event locations on OGVG’s website at www.ontariogreenhouse.com, or on OGVG’s Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/ONgreenhouseVeg.
If consumers have trouble finding Ontario greenhouse produce, OGVG suggests asking your local produce manager or looking for the Foodland Ontario logo.
