FloraHolland – FloraHolland held the spring edition of its Trade Fair in Naaldwijk from Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 March 2013. Around 4,000 visitors from the trade turned up for this fair, roughly the same number as last year. More than 550 growers presented their cut flowers, green and flowering house plants and outdoor plants. Visitors to Naaldwijk found a varied assortment of new products and concepts. Leo Zwinkels of LZ Orchidee said, "I first took part in the Trade Fair at Aalsmeer in November 2012, and now I'm here in Naaldwijk. For me, this has been an excellent opportunity to meet and greet my end customers. Ive also taken advantage of being at the trade fair to raise the profile of my new Cascade cymbidiums, (waterfall cymbidiums)."
Inspiration Plaza for Bedding Plants
New for 2013 was the Inspiration Plaza for Bedding Plants, put together by the growers of these plants in concert with FloraHolland. Visitors to this plaza were shown some surprisingly innovative shop floor configurations for bedding plants. The idea behind this plaza is to boost the rate of bedding plant sales in stores by presenting them in an inspiring way on shop floors. Presentational concepts were displayed that were suitable for garden centers, DIY and supermarkets. Each of these concepts was designed to tie in with the key group of customers who make their gardening purchases at that particular type of store. The group profiling was based on a consumer research study carried out by the Horticultural Production Board.

6-8 November 2013: Trade Fair in Aalsmeer
The first week of November sees both the FloraHolland Trade Fair and the International Horti Fair come to Aalsmeer. Visitors will benefit from both of these events being held under one roof at the same time, hosted by FloraHolland. So this really does mean that there's only one trade and fair floor in the Netherlands for everyone active in the national and international horticultural industry. This way, the Horti Fair and the Trade Fair offer an integrated solution to stand holders and visitors. Both fairs will keep their own clear profile so that visitors from out of the horticultural world of flowers, plants, vegetables and technology will be able to do business in a goal-oriented manner. The bundling under one roof really means one-stop shopping for visitors without losing valuable travel time.
