We live in a business climate with constant change – a very competitive and aggressive environment that force us to rethink our goals and how to achieve them. At AMHPAC, we are aware of the needs of all our partners and we are working to support them to compete in the global market place.
The first steps were taken by institutionalizing our Association, which consisted in adopting Corporate Governance guidelines that allowed us to have a professional Board composed by Independent and Partner counselors. We reappraised our goals with a new business strategy and most importantly, a strategy that ensures the future of AMHPAC as an international leader for the Protected Agriculture sector. Most importantly preserving the core mission and vision of AMHPAC.
All our objectives are focused on adding value to our Partners, Sponsors, and Associates in addition to strengthening our Association to influence public policies and position our guild. I acknowledge and thank our Counselors and to Eric Viramontes for all the support they gave to build this organization to where it is today.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, we would like to thank Eric Viramontes for his dedication and effort in strengthening AMHPAC as a national organization with international recognition in the five years he served as General Director. We wish him great success in his personal endeavors. We are also grateful to him for accepting a position to with us as Independent Counselor so he can continue advising and bringing our industry together, which he has done so well.
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Alfredo Diaz Belmontes, who as of Monday February 18th will be supporting us with the work of CEO of the Association. We are convinced that his professional career and experience in the field will facilitate the growth of AMHPAC.
Finally, we want to thank the efforts of the Tomato Defense Committee, the Technical Committee headed by our Counselor Carlos Espinoza and the members of the Committee for the defense of our tomato industry – especially to Eric Viramontes, and German Gandara. Also, special thanks to both our outgoing and incoming Federal Government for the unconditional support we received through the Mexican Secretary of the Economy, SAGARPA, SEDESOL, as well as to CAADES, CABC, and SPT. We are especially grateful to all our partners and associates who joined the cause with their contributions and commitment to successfully create an agreement that will preserve the Mexican Tomato.
Best regards,
Carlos Cueto
