Crystal Valley Foods is pleased to announce that commencing January 14, 2013 Crystal Valley will initiate a new Mexican asparagus marketing program.
Crystal Valley will be loading Mexican asparagus from food safety certified farms and packing facilities from the following warehouse locations during the first quarter of 2013:
-Crystal Valley Foods, Miami, Florida
-Crystal Valley West, Los Angeles, Ca.
-Crown Cooling, Brawley, Ca.
Crystal Valley will commence in mid -January with 11 pound cartons, and by the end of January will also offer 28 pound cartons for customers who prefer that pack.
The main focus of the Mexican asparagus program is the key peak volume first quarter. However, it is Crystal Valley’s intent to continue distributing Mexican asparagus virtually year-around, from the different growing regions of Caborca, Baja California, and Guanajuato, during their appropriate seasons.
This major strategic addition of Mexican asparagus to the company portfolio, demonstrates the key role that Crystal Valley foods believes the Mexican production areas hold for Crystal Valley Foods long term sustainability as a primary fresh asparagus marketer in North America.
