Ippolito International Announces New Hire

Ippolito International has added a produce industry veteran to its Salinas, CA sales team. Steve Timsak joined the sales staff recently as part of the company’s continuing growth in product mix and volume.

Butch Corda, general manager of Ippolito International said, “I had the pleasure of working with Steve early in our careers at Oshita Company for over ten years, and added another five with him while we were both at Growers Vegetable Express,” he said. “We went on our different paths and now here we are, 16 years later, reuniting to build upon our already strong relationship. It’s great to get such a highly respected, experienced veteran such as Steve to join us here,” he said.

Steve will offer his 25+ years of expertise in green onions as commodity manager for that item and radishes, as well as selling the full line of quality vegetables offered at Ippolito International.

“This company is under the radar, and has a lot of potential,” said Mr. Timsak. “The ground base is located in highly desirable areas, the customer base and product line are all very solid. I’ve been selling produce for 30 years, and I am extremely happy to be here,” he said.

Mr. Timsak is a Fresno native. He moved to the Salinas area in 1982 after graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Ippolito International is North America’s largest supplier of fresh Brussels sprouts, in addition to growing and shipping a year round, full line of premium fresh vegetables from California, Arizona and Mexico.
