Disney-Themed Ready Pac Cool Cuts Social Media Campaign Helps Fight Hunger

Irwindale, Calif. – Ready Pac Foods, Inc. recently announced its partnership with Feeding America, the Nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity, for a Facebook campaign focused on their new Disney-themed Cool Cuts® salads and mini-meals for kids called “Like to Fight Hunger.”

Through December 31, 2012, Facebook users are encouraged to “like” Ready Pac® Cool Cuts® page and for each “like,” Ready Pac will donate one dollar, equivalent to eight meals, to Feeding America. During the campaign, Ready Pac will donate up to 250,000 meals. In order to help promote the campaign, packaging of the Disney-themed Ready Pac® Cool Cuts® salads and mini-meals will have special labels added to spread awareness among consumers.

“Today, 50 million Americans are food insecure, and one in five children under the age of 18 does not have access to enough nutritious food to learn, grow or thrive,” said Tristan Simpson, director of marketing and corporate communications, Ready Pac Foods, Inc. “Feeding America is currently serving 14 million children, and this campaign allows Ready Pac and its fans to help fight hunger and provide healthy meals to kids.”

The line of salads and mini-meals is geared specifically for elementary and middle school-aged children, as each of the eight items includes specific Disney characters as well as temporary tattoos or stickers inside each package.
