Canby, Oregon — Celebrating 30 years of membership and continuous attendance at the PMA International Fresh Summit Convention and Expo, Package Containers, Inc. will debut the new 2012 Official PMA Recyclable Bag at the PMA show in Anaheim Oct 27-28, according to Robert Degnan, President and CEO.
The sustainable white Kraft Home-Toter® compostable paper tote bag features a wraparound 4/C process print of cascading fresh fruits and includes a sturdy custom imprinted Quad-Fold™ single handle. The tote is designed to hold 14-16 lbs. and is manufactured and printed at the PCI manufacturing plant in Oregon using water soluble bag inks and glues. “This Home-Toter® bag was designed not only to promote the sustainable packaging capabilities of Package Containers, Inc., but also to cross-promote our many customers who are also exhibiting at PMA,” states Degnan. “On one of the side gussets of the bag are listed those exhibitors who will be feature their produce in merchandising displays using our tote bags, and speaks to the creative ways growers and associations are using Home-Toters to increase bulk produce sales.” Degnan adds this bag, called the PCI Senior (10 1/2” x 6 7/8” x 12”), is the same size and style of bag used for years in farm stands and farmers markets to sell fresh produce. A version of the print will be available for retailers and growers to order following the show.
