The Legacy 2012 Fall Marketplace was held October 1-3, 2012. The Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor brought Legacy Distributor and Supplier Members together for three days of business building opportunities.
The Distributor Members joined the Legacy Team in a work session to get The Marketplace started. The session involved open dialogue among Distributor Members, sharing of common goals and efforts, along with updates from The Group.
At the conclusion of the work session, Legacy hosted the three-hour Marketplace Express. The Marketplace Express event featured Supplier Members who are Legacy Service Providers, food suppliers with a limited distribution base, and new suppliers to the Legacy program. The new opportunities identified were virtually endless, and the excitement for this opening event carried through to the remaining days of the Marketplace.
The next two days were devoted to Supplier and Distributor Meetings in a variety of formats, including suppliers in private meeting suites (by appointment);
Distributors in private meeting suites (by appointment); and private meetings in a show floor environment (by appointment and open flow). Legacy went to great lengths to ensure ample meeting time was provided for all Distributor and Supplier Members to connect.
The Legacy Distributor Members were prepared to make product line conversions and to support attending Supplier Partners. Suppliers responded with strong deals and rewards for successful business opportunities. Reach Deals were an integral part of the excitement, with Distributor Members working together to maximize the dealsoffered by Supplier Members.
Legacy continues its efforts to reinvent the supply chain group business. Don Hughes, EVP of Merchandising for Legacy said, “The success of The Marketplace is attributed to the continuing support of the Legacy Distributor and Supplier Members, working together, and building the Group of the Future.”
