MADISON, Wis. – In honor of American Cheese Month in October, Wisconsin Cheese Originals today launches Cheese Party in a Box, giving cheese-lovers across the country the opportunity to host their own at-home Wisconsin artisan cheese party.
Wisconsin Cheese Originals Executive Director Jeanne Carpenter hand-selected four Wisconsin artisan cheeses – cow, goat, sheep and blue – added gourmet crackers, micro-batch preserves, a designer cooler, and tasting notes on everything. Items are shipped in a ready-to-party box.
“You add the wine, six to eight guests, and voila – instant cheese party!” Carpenter said.
The promotion, part of the American Cheese Society’s American Cheese Month, aims to recognize and raise awareness of the quality and diversity of American cheeses. Ten percent of all Cheese Party in a Box proceeds go to the American Cheese Education Foundation, ensuring that high quality, safe and diverse cheeses reach consumers via well-trained and certified folks behind your local cheese counter.
Cheese Party in a Box includes:
• One-quarter pound LaClare Farms Evalon, Wisconsin farmhouse goat’s milk cheese
• One-quarter pound Wisconsin Sheep Dairy Co-op Dante, small-batch sheep’s milk cheese
