LOS ANGELES – The Giumarra Companies welcomes new hire James Paul to its West Coast avocado and asparagus sales staff.
Mr. Paul is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in international business management. He comes to Giumarra with sales and marketing experience with Greg Paul Produce Sales, Inc., based in Stockton, Calif., and Altar Produce, LLC, based in Calexico, Calif. He also previously worked with Prima Bella Produce, Apio, and Boskovich Farms.
“James will be focused on the continued growth of our avocado and asparagus programs,” says Bruce Dowhan, general manager of Giumarra Agricom. “He has an exceptionally strong background in produce sales and he is a valuable addition to our sales team.”
Specifically, Mr. Paul will be engaging with Midwest and East Coast customers to implement programs designed to create incremental sales for asparagus and avocados. He will also be coordinating efforts with Giumarra’s global supply to provide a seamless continuity of fresh Nature’s Partner asparagus throughout the year.
Giumarra Agricom will conclude its California avocado season in mid-October and is looking forward to ample supplies of Mexican and Chilean avocados this fall.
Nature’s Partner asparagus from Peru is expected to arrive next week, with production in Mexico starting in October. There will be plentiful supplies for the holiday season.
