Peacotum Combines 3 Tree Fruits For Distinct Taste

Most people have probably heard of a pluot, aprium and maybe even a plumcot.

But a peacotum?

It's the newest hybrid fruit getting attention at local farmers markets. Described as tasting like fruit punch and looking like a slightly fuzzy plum, the peacotum is not your run-of-the-mill piece of tree fruit.

Developed by renowned fruit breeder Floyd Zaiger, the father of the pluot, the peacotum is a triple threat of tree fruit: peach, apricot and plum. The hybrid fruit has a delicate sweetness with most of its flavor coming from the plum and apricot.
