Euphorbia amygdaloides ‘Frosted Flame’ was found as a mutant by Paul Stead from the UK. In 2010, the plant was introduced by Blooms of Bressingham from Sacramento in California (US).
It has been available in limited quantities since the introduction. The new Euphorbia will be presented as a novelty at the Dutch trade show for hardy nursery stock Plantarium.
Graham Rice said in 2011 in My Garden, the UK online community for gardeners of the Royal Horticultural Society about variegated and coloured leaved euphorbias, that they have caught gardeners’ imaginations in recent years as fine foliage plants as well as plants for late winter and spring flowers.”
