Tulare County's Setton Pistachio Gets Safe-Food Certificate 

Setton Pistachio, a Tulare County nut producer, has been certified for compliance with international food-safety standards.

The company, based in Terra Bella, grows, processes, roasts and packs more than 80 million pounds of pistachio nuts each year.

Eagle Food Registrations Inc. of Ohio recently certified Setton's processing facility under the latest Food Safety System Certification standards recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative. The standards were adopted in February.
