CASTROVILLE, Calif. – Ocean Mist Farms will host an artichoke field tour as part of PMA’s Fresh Produce Academy at the annual foodservice conference in Monterey, Calif.
The company-hosted tour on Friday, July 20, includes a visit to a beach-side artichoke field, company headquarters and a cooling facility and a cooking demonstration by Chef Tony Baker of Montrio Bistro, Monterey, Calif.
Chef Baker will also be featured on Saturday in the chef demo challenge where participating chefs compete to create healthy and flavorful kids’ menus; he will demonstrate the preparation of artichoke veggie burger with Chipotle lime mayo and arti-guac. Last year Baker won the chef demo challenge and his recipe was included in a recipe book produced after the conference.
