LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. — Frieda’s, Inc. joined together on Saturday, June 23, for an afternoon picnic in Long Beach, Calif., to celebrate a successful 50 years in business.
All of Frieda’s employees were invited to bring their families to El Dorado Park for good eats from East Side Mario’s, fun games with The Original Party Masters and many thanks and prizes from Founder Frieda Caplan, President and CEO Karen Caplan and Vice President and COO Jackie Caplan Wiggins.
“Frieda’s isn’t just a family-owned company, but a business that has become a family,” said Karen Caplan. “We wanted to thank all our employees and their families for their support as we recognize this company milestone. We couldn’t think of a better way than a fun-filled day in the park with all our family and friends. And a special thank you to the vendors and suppliers who supported our picnic by donating items to include in our employee thank you gifts.”
With more than 140 attendees at the picnic, Frieda Caplan was proud to see how the company she founded in 1962 has grown. “What a joy it is to see everyone come together to celebrate an incredible 50 years,” said Frieda Caplan. “In a successful fresh produce company, employees work early hours and give their best all of the time. It was very important to us to meet all our employees’ families and thank them for supporting their loved ones who have dedicated themselves to Frieda’s, Inc.”
