Brunswick, GA – Continuing its company-wide commitment to sustainable business practices, King & Prince Seafood is converting from bleached whiteboard corrugate shipping containers to more environmentally friendly packaging made from natural kraft fibers. The new packaging is more easily recycled and uses less energy and fewer chemicals in its manufacture than the cartons being replaced.
“We’re working hard to take a leadership role in protecting our environment,” said Volker Kuntzsch, President of King & Prince Seafood. “That includes every aspect of our business, from finding and developing sustainable sources for our seafood, to our production processes, as well as our packaging. We will continue to make every effort to find new ways to implement sustainable strategies. It’s our responsibility to future generations.”
Case specs and strength remain the same; the only change is in color—from white to brown. No changes have been made to any product formulations. The same great Mrs. Friday’s® or King & Prince® seafood products will now be arriving in a new, sustainable package.
