Columbus, Ohio – Trade Show News Network (TSNN) announced the 2012 Top 50 Fastest-growing Trade Shows in Attendance and Net Square Footage Growth in the U.S. The OFA Short Course, horticulture’s premier convention and marketplace, was acknowledged as one of the top 25 fastest growing in attendance over the last three years.
“During some of the most challenging years in the trade show industry, the 2012 TSNN Top 50 Fastest-growing Trade Show winners not only managed to thrive, but also by very impressive numbers,” said TSNN President and Editor-in-Chief Rachel Wimberly. The winners in overall attendance growth from 2009 to 2011 were a diverse mix, including JCK Las Vegas, the Shooting, Hunting & Outdoor Trade Show and International CES.
“We are excited for our event to be recognized in this way. There’s a reason more people are attending OFA Short Course and we think it’s because the event is relevant to the industry today and offers a great experience for a fair price,” said Michael Geary, CAE, OFA’s chief executive officer. He added, “Under one roof, independent garden centers, greenhouse growers, nurseries, florists, interior and exterior landscapers, suppliers, and other industry businesses can access everything they need for their businesses.”
The 2012 OFA Short Course will be filled with interactive displays for retailers and growers, new varieties, new products, and numerous networking opportunities. It is the first of this year’s horticulture events to showcase industry celebrity Joe Lamp’l and White House Chef and Senior Policy Advisor Sam Kass. Geary asked, “Why go anywhere else? Besides the trade show and education, Columbus is a fantastic city for visiting professionals and families.”
OFA will be recognized for this achievement at TSNN’s award program on November 3, 2012.
