The new varieties include:
• Provolone: A true classic, Finlandia Provolone is aged 60 days for a sharp, authentic Provolone flavor. It adds more flavor to antipasto with pickled veggies and salami and is also delicious melted on a panini with portobello mushrooms. Finlandia brought back the true flavor of Provolone as it was made in Italy many years ago. The aromatic flavor and distinct texture is a result of the effort it took to bring this cheese to the table. You can taste and smell the quality of this authentic Provolone. Finlandia worked diligently with its master cheese-makers to create only the best recipe for our Provolone, then aged it for more than 60 days to reach its peak flavor.
• American: We made a true favorite bolder and more flavorful by creating it with
6-month aged Cheddar cheese. Finlandia American delivers a bolder, tastier grilled cheese. Melt it on potatoes or pair it with honey ham or smoked turkey. This cheese was developed with a proprietary formula using cheddar as the base to create a special American for the cheese lover who desires a bit more flavor. Still creamy and delicious as ever but now with more flavor!
• Cheddar: Our Cheddar is smooth and creamy and aged 6 months for a bolder flavor. It melts perfectly on burgers or pair it with honey ham and seasoned roast beef. Enjoy with Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio.
• Monterey Jack: Delicate and buttery, this cheese will melt nicely over casseroles or in paninis. It also makes a tasty snack with fresh fruit. Don’t forget… it’s also a perfect addition to a cheese platter for mild cheese lovers!
• Havarti: A buttery and slightly zesty cheese with a smooth, delicate texture. Finlandia Havarti goes well with ham or chicken and roasted red peppers on a baguette. Try pairing it with fruity or dry wines.
• Pepper Jack: We took the delicate buttery taste of Monterey Jack and kicked it up a notch with spicy jalapeno peppers. Melt over chili for some added spice or build a better sandwich by adding it to roast beef, turkey or chicken sandwiches.
• Colby Jack: The mild Colby flavor mixed with the buttery flavor of Monterey Jack produces a flavorful, creamy Colby Jack. Melt this delicious cheese on ham or smoked turkey or add it to your scrambled eggs. It also makes a perfect mid-day snack.
• Jalapeno Muenster: It’s the perfect combination of a mild creamy Muenster cheese with the spicy kick of jalapeno peppers. This cheese is a bold addition to meatloaf and adds a ton of flavor to a western omelet or quesadilla!
