Jessica Morris – Beginning and Basic Floral Design (new for 2012!)

Jessica Morris is a girl who sees the world through flower colored glasses. She started in the floral industry as as a driver for a small, local florist in Madison, Indiana and was recognized by her boss to have the quest to learn more and become a designer. This is what started her love affair with flowers. During this time however, she was surprised with a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at age 24 and shifted her focus in life, thinking that the paycheck in life was more important than the passion. That would not last long.

After climbing the corporate ladder with retail business for many years, she finally returned to what makes her soul happy – floral design- and has passionately pursued everything about floral design she can get her hands on! Jessica has also worked under some of the most accredited designers in her region and had the experience of working in a large retail florist, as well as small, more specialized shops – giving her a well rounded idea of design and the needs and expectations of retail florist. Her goal is to make something beautiful – every day!
