The 17th edition of the international Flower Arrangement Event Fleuramour, Passion for Flowers will take place in the National Commandery of Alden Biesen from Friday the 21st until Monday the 24th of September 2012. Numerous varieties of new plants and flowers, the latest floral trends and decoration tendencies, original bridal bouqets on the catwalk and so on.
Thousands of flowers will be part of all sorts of trendy and nostalgic floral designs on top level. Lovers of flower arrangements and professional florists from all over the world will gather here again to admire the unique masterpieces of floral art.

Friday Opening day with a magnificent flower hat
Come to Fleuramour with a self-made hat carrying your favourite flowers and parade across the promenade and the catwalk. The hat can be sober, baroque, refined, bombastic, frivolous or grand, but it has to radiate your love for flowers. Your creativity will be rewarded with a 2 Euros discount on the entrance fee and a glass of Cava. (Take a look on our website!)
An haute couture exhibition with exceptionally festive bouquets
Together with the Bilzen fashion house Lowet (www.lowet.be) from Bilzen, an haute couture exhibition is created with gorgeous party dresses in the baroque chambers of the National Commander. Master florists give the unique party clothing a surplus value with a floral creation adapted to the dress. A source of inspiration for modern and traditional brides and for those who like to party flowery.
Experience a wedding party
This year, you can experience a genuine wedding party during Fleuramour. A gorgeous party tent is decorated with flowers in a magnificent way by a team of young floral talent. During a brunch or lunch, you as a guest can enjoy a unique bridal show performed by Miss Fashion models.
Felix Geiling-Rasmus (G) magically transforms the church into a flower paradise
After floristic school training, Felix attends a high-quality education at Gregor Lersch. As creative responsible person for three flower businesses in London and one year as a florist on board of the cruise ship MS Deutschland, he gets the opportunity to collect impressions of different cultures. Felix also has a list of honours and awards to be proud of with amongst others the Goldene Rose Berlin second place, Junior Europa Cup Brussels second place, Alpe Adria Cup (Graz) first price. After his master training in Straubing, Felix works for HBI (Fleura) and since one year he has been giving courses and demonstrations as an independent florist all over the world.
Fleur Créatif team in an exotic atmosphere
This year, the Fleur Créatif team (Geert Pattyn, Moniek Vanden Berghe, Stef Adriaenssens, Ivan Poelman and Jan Deridder) will be creating with exotic flowers and foliage materials, and again it will surprise us with its extraordinary talent.
National championships Art of Flower Arrangements for juniors at Alden Biesen
KUFB, our national association of florists has chosen to hold the National championships for juniors during ‘Fleuramour’ and we are very proud of that! This young talent will surprise us with beautiful table decorations, bridal bouquets, floating creations… and will be live on stage in the Riding School on Friday.
Talent! Who will be crowned ‘Fleur Créatif Junior Talent’?
During Fleuramour 2011 we started with seven young floral talents. You could already admire their creativity more than once in Fleur Créatif. They have travelled a fascinating floral path with our partners Smithers-Oasis, Agora, Belflora and Vranckx. During Fleuramour 2012 you can see their renewed creativity. The three best will compete against each other for the title of Fleur Créatif Junior Talent!
Best Florist of Belgium: the winner will be crowned
During a festive prize-giving ceremony, the finalists of the Best Florist of Belgium competition will be announced and the winner will be crowned.
With the ‘Best Florist of Belgium Award’, the KUFB, Smithers-Oasis/Floralife and Fleur Magazine/Créatif want to strive for a quality stimulus and larger awareness for the entire Belgian art of flower arrangement. The goal is to encourage florists to undertake innovatively and to think sales-oriented. 18 candidates have been selected to further take the path of ‘Best Florist of Belgium’.

A range of flowers and foliage provide the most pleasant day out
Again Fleuramour provides gorgeous cut flowers, extraordinary cut foliage and new indoor plants. Master florists from home and abroad (Greece, France, the Netherlands, the United States, Germany, etc.), known and less known talents make admirable creations with known and unprecedented materials. Student and professional competitions supply innovating works of art.
During Fleuramour there is so much to experience and see that visitors can easily stay here an entire day.
Also take the time to visit the permanent exhibition on the history of the National Commandery. And do not forget the gorgeous surrounding area with its orchards, ideal for a bike or walking tour to everyone’s possibilities.
