Eleven Rivers Growers Wins The National Export Award 2012

Guadalajara, Mexico – Eleven Rivers has won the prestigious Mexican National Export Award 2012. Heriberto T. Vlaminck, president, and Fernando A. Mariscal, coordinator, accepted the Award from Felipe Calderon, President of Mexico, on May 18, 2012, in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The Mexican National Export Award is the highest recognition given to companies, institutions or organizations that export from Mexico.
The winning companies have managed to compete, grow and diversify their sales of goods and services internationally, based on their consistency, efforts, perseverance, creativity, quality and innovation.

“Eleven Rivers was able to successfully compete against other large companies due to our reliability, innovation and the uniqueness of the Eleven Rivers Program,” said Mr. Vlaminck. “Our social and ecological engagement, commitment to the market and portfolio, among other factors, is what gave us the edge with the National Export Award committee. We are very pleased and honored to receive this recognition.”

The Eleven Rivers program is operated as a cooperative. Participating members are certified and weekly validated by recognized third party organizations based on the Eleven Rivers program. Each participant must comply with standards, which exceed market and regulators requirements including: Integral Food Safety; Point-to-point traceability; Risk reduction management; Process control systems; Labor, social and ecological responsibility.
