Los Angeles, CA –- Avocados from Mexico has announced the success of its recent breakfast campaign sweepstakes, Wake Up A Winner, that ran on Facebook and received more than 58,800 entries from April 2 – May 6, 2012. The sweepstakes, which awarded 35 daily prizes of $200 grocery gift cards and one grand prize trip to a bed & breakfast in Napa Valley, was developed to increase usage of avocados for breakfast.
During the five-week promotion, Avocados from Mexico acquired 17,021 new Facebook fans and drove over 40,500 visits to its website by directing consumers there for avocado breakfast recipes—from avocado spread on toast to delicious wraps and smoothies. Additionally, the campaign generated more than 15 million impressions from online & mobile advertising, Facebook ads, social media efforts and in-store merchandising that included in-store signage in over 1,000 select retail locations.
